With the Agri-Motion X-Tend kit, ROJ brings farms ever closer to Agriculture 4.0

In 2017, to bring farms closer to Precision Agriculture, ROJ Agri-Motion was born, the line of products made by ROJ, in the ROJ Mechatronics Business Unit.

Today, following the advice of customers and market demands, ROJ has developed Agri-Motion X-Tend: a kit that allows you to manage sowing and fertilization wirelessly, expanding the range of possible applications, thanks to the extension of the control to more than one motor, unlike its younger brother Agri-Motion PCS W1, which allowed to control only one motor.

Currently only available with DMD-0 motors, highly reliable 12V brushless motors, with integrated driver board and gearbox, Agri-Motion X-Tend will be soon available also with DMD-2 motors, therefore, with more compact and affordable motors, perfect for low power applications.

Specifically, the Agri-Motion X-Tend kit includes, in addition to the number of motors required for the specific application, a miniaturized access point for wireless connection to the motors and wiring for the distribution of the relative power.

What are the main features of the new Agri-Motion X-Tend and where can it be installed?

The main features of the new Agri-Motion X-Tend can be summarized in:

• Application compatible with Android devices (soon also on iOS devices)
• Improved user experience
• Guided machine configuration
• Possibility of changing the quantity and density of the product being distributed for each motor
• Operating speed indicator
• Speed sensor and distributor calibration
• Partial hectare counter
• Estimate the quantity of product distributed
• Warning and error notifications

The Agri-Motion X-Tend kit, which allows you to control different hoppers via mobile phone or tablet, can be installed in a short time on:

• Granular product distributors
• Mechanical seed drills
• Single or double hoppers

Thanks to its miniaturized Wi-Fi access point, which provides a wireless connection to the motors, it is possible to provide the settings and monitor, in real-time, the activity of each hopper: the configuration menu allows you to calibrate the speed sensor and the volume of the distributor, while the main screen shows, for each motor, the working speed, the quantity of product distributed per hectare and the status of each hopper.

What economic benefits are therefore the end-user and why should they use Agri-Motion X-Tend?

What are the possible configurations that ROJ offers to the market?

ROJ Agri-Motion currently offers its potential customers three possible configurations of the X-Tend kit:

1.   AGRI-MOTION X-TEND 1 (it is none other than the PCS W1 and is, in particular, a version designed to be eventually updated in X-Tend, by updating the motor and the software of the access point)
2.   AGRI-MOTION X-TEND 2R (rear & rear motors)
3.   AGRI-MOTION X-TEND 2 F&R (front & rear motors)
